Okay, so I in no way thought this restricted eating plan would be fun, but I pretty much can't eat anything. If it is gluten/wheat free it still has rice flour which I may not have. I cheated and got some ezekial's bread with a little rice flour and so far that is doing okay, but the muffins I found made me sick. so I have had a piece of this weird bread, celery and an apple today. I tried the muffins unsucessfully. I don't really understand what I am supposed to eat if everything is on my no list. I don't want to eat only meat and chicken! I can eat fresh fruit and veggies, so I guess I will load up on that, but no salad dressing!
Sorry for complaining. I am just very frustrated.
I hope you all have a great night/day. I am off to do my puzzle and eat an apple.

I can understand your frustration...it would not be good if I couldn't have some of my favorite foods. Can you call your doc and ask them for a YES food list and go and pick up some of those items.......something other than meat and veggies. I hope you find some good things that you can eat and that satisfies you!

UGH! Is the right word. I can understand how you feel...sort of. I think Crystal has a good idea. You should ask your doc to give you a list of things you CAN eat!

yeah if you got a list of stuff you can have it might be easier for you. I will do some internet research and e-mail you what I find. good Luck. Sorry you have yet another frustrating thing to deal with. I am sure it will get easier the longer you do it and the find stuff you can have.

Amanda - are there any stores around you that sell specialty foods? We have some down here, of course, but maybe a bigger city up there might have some. These stores sell gluten free items.
Try Kroger - around here they have a whole section of specialty foods - with gluten/wheat free things and i'm sure you could find something there. Even salad dressing!! Try a bigger city if your Kroger doesn't have any. They have bread and other things too that you can get that are for restricted diets. I'm pretty sure that the Kroger that Lura and I went to on our shopping trip had that section in it!!!
Good luck!!!!

Take all the time it needs and post your lists of things you can't have. We will all brainstorm together to help you come up with ideas for things you can eat. And yes, I agree call the doctor and see if they have any yes lists.

I know you don't have much internet time and you want to spend most of it on our blog....but this is a cool sit that has TONS of gluten free recipes. I found tons of places online where you can buy gluten free pasta, pancake mix, flour, lots and lots of stuff.

hang in there. you'll be able to eat everything again eventually, and you won't believe how much better you'll feel once the medicine starts kicking in.
