my big blunder

This will be real quick-
Today i was an idiot and ended up with a fractured right hand. i am in a splint and bandage and go to the doc on monday. don't feel too sorry for me girls....i was really dumb!

Such a proud Aunt am I !!!!

This is my nephew Cory. He is a senior in high school and graduates next month. He is a third degree black belt and won first place in Kata and 4th in Olympic Tae Kwan Do Sparring at the Disney Martial Arts Festival. He is such a neat kid and has gone through a lot. His parents divorced and a year later his mom died unexpectedly (my sis in law, Angie). This July he leaves for boot camp and is scheduled to join the Marine Special Forces. Another of my nephews leaves for the army in July also.

I just wanted to share this neat-o kid with you all. We are so proud of him.

Flashback Friday

These are pictures of my best girlfriends from college. I miss these girls dearly. We were inseperable. Annie, in the tip middle, was my roommate.

What a Traumatic Night!

I was on the phone with Kellie when all of a sudden I heard Gabe screaming in the dining room. I ran in and dropped the phone (sorry Kellie). The picture window that has a broken lock had fallen and Gabe's fingers were smashed in it. I couldn't budge the window so I yelled for our neighbor, Chuck, to help. We were able to pry the window apart and get his fingers out. They were in there for about 5 minutes and were flat! They are bruised and still swelling but not broken. Thank the Lord for that. He is on the couch with ice and watching tv. The tears subsided after about a half hour. It looks very painful. I had told the kids several times to stay away from the window because it was broken. Sean is going to lock it shut with screws tonight.

Cranky

I don't have much to post about today. I am in a stinky mood. I know that part of it is my kid's behavior and my inability to manage my frustration. I guess a part of it is that Father's Day is coming and the stores are starting to display cards and gifts. I always get a bit depressed and angry around this time. I get so jealous of all the people who have a dad still. Oh crud...I don't want to cry about this. One of the bright spots today was finishing something for Crystal. I smiled about it until my jaw hurt (or that might have been sympathy pains for Sonya.) I am mailing it tomorrow and can't wait for Crys. to get it!!! You have to let me know when you do, unless you think it's stupid, then don't! :)
I am going to go and try and get the kids settled for bed. Wish me luck.

Feel Better Sonya!!!!

While going through photos, I found this one of Sonya holding Jonathan. I think he was about 2 1/2 months old. I thought it might make Sonya smile, unless smiling hurts. Then I hope you don't. Feel Better Soon!!!!

A Quickie for Jamie...

I've been thinking about cutting eyeholes in my Alan Alda poster and making Sean wear it as a mask when he takes me to Chile's. Good Idea??!!
